Scout prepares the work every morning

Scout is the analyst built into Reportly. Describe a report once, in a sentence, and Scout runs it on schedule as PDF or Excel: the weekly trading report, the buyer line sheet, the size-run sheet. It watches every SKU, size and channel and raises an alert when a figure moves, with the evidence and the work already done.

Scout routines in Reportly, a weekly report prepared as PDF and Excel

Routines

"Every Monday at 8, last week’s sales by channel." That sentence is the whole setup. Scout runs it, files the PDF or Excel in your briefing, and keeps running it until you say stop. Routines do not count against your monthly searches.

Watches

Pick a figure, a threshold and who should hear. Scout checks it daily. When the projected return rate on a jacket crosses the line, the alert names the SKU, the size, the reason and what is already prepared: the spec note for the manufacturer and the re-cut size run.

The morning briefing

One page at 08:00: what changed overnight, which routines ran, which files are ready, which watches moved. Nothing to build and nothing to open until something needs you.

What Scout does not do

Scout does not compute figures. Every number in a Scout report is the same server-computed figure you would get by asking. Scout reads the question, chooses the page and prepares the file; it never writes a number itself.

Questions

What formats does Scout produce?

PDF and Excel. Line sheets include images, RRP and current stock by size.

Does Scout cost extra?

No. Scout is in every plan, and a routine’s runs do not count as searches.

Can Scout email the report?

Scout files the report in your briefing and can send it to the team members on your plan.

What can Scout watch?

Any figure Reportly computes: return rate projected or booked, weeks of cover, velocity, margin, stock by size, per SKU, per channel.
