Shopify

Your catalogue, orders, returns and inventory, synced continuously and used as the source of truth every other channel is matched back to.

Shopify is where Reportly starts. It is the only connection that is required, because your Shopify catalogue is what every other channel gets matched back to. A SKU that sells on Macy's, on Nordstrom and on your own store is one product in Reportly, not three.

What Reportly reads. Products and variants, including size, colour, barcode and cost where you have entered it. Orders and order lines, with the channel each one came through. Native Shopify returns, with the reason the customer selected. Inventory levels per location, so cover and days of stock are counted against real warehouses rather than one number.

How the connection works. You install Reportly from the Shopify App Store and approve the standard read scopes. There is no key to copy and nothing to configure. The first sync pulls your recent history within minutes and then walks backwards through the rest, so the dashboard is usable long before the full backfill finishes. After that, webhooks keep orders and returns current and a scheduled pass reconciles everything every few hours.

What you can ask once it is connected. What did I sell yesterday. Which products are quietly running out. Why are returns climbing on this style. What is the true margin on this SKU after returns and fulfilment. Which size is doing the damage.

One honest note. Shopify records a return reason only when the customer picks one at the point of request. If most of your returns come back through a marketplace or a returns portal, the reason detail arrives through those connections instead, and Reportly merges the two rather than counting them twice.
